How it works

1Drop your track

It is decoded and analysed right here on your device. Your unreleased music never touches a server.

2It storyboards itself

Filament Kit finds the beat, the sections and the drop, then builds a scene for each part of the song. Change any of it, or none of it.

3Export everything

Every format a release needs, rendered on your own GPU and saved straight to your phone or laptop.

Questions

Does my music get uploaded?

No. Decoding, analysis and rendering all happen in your browser on your own hardware. The only thing ever sent to our server is a short anonymous code identifying which file you bought a licence for, and only if you choose to buy one.

Why is it so much cheaper than everything else?

Other tools rent cloud GPUs to render your video and pass that cost to you. We render on the device you already own, so an extra video costs us nothing. That saving is the price.

Will it work on my device?

Rendering uses your device's own video and audio encoders, so what is possible depends on the browser. Full support means every format including clips with sound. Silent-only means Spotify Canvas, Apple motion art and the stills still work.

On iPhone and iPad every browser uses Safari's engine, so installing Chrome there will not add support. What matters is your iOS version.

Getting the full set on Apple hardware needs iOS or iPadOS 26, which runs on iPhone 11 and newer, iPad 8th generation and newer, iPad Air 3rd generation and newer, iPad mini 5th generation and newer, and iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation or 12.9-inch 3rd generation and newer. Older iPads, including the standard 2018 iPad, top out below that and stay silent-only for good.

You never have to work this out yourself: open the Export screen and it tells you exactly what this device can do before you render anything.

Do the loops really loop?

Yes. Loop length is locked to whole bars of your track, and the wrap point is blended so there is no visible jump. That is the part most tools get wrong.

Is the visualiser generated by AI?

No. Every frame is driven by the real frequency content, beat grid and energy of your track, using the same engine that powers Filament for live shows.

Is there a size or length limit?

Up to 10 minutes and 100 MB per track. Because everything renders on your own device rather than a server, a whole track has to fit in your browser's memory at once, and beyond that length phones start to struggle. That covers essentially any single or album track.

Can I change the speed or the key?

Both, independently. The Speed row offers 0.85× up to 1.25× and the audio is time-stretched so the pitch stays exactly where it was; the Pitch stepper moves the key up to seven semitones either way without changing the length. The visuals, beat grid and cuts all re-time to match, and the export carries the new speed. Your original file is never altered, so you can change your mind as often as you like.

Can I install it like a real app?

Yes, on every platform. On iPhone and iPad use Safari's Share button then Add to Home Screen; on Android, Chrome offers Install app; on desktop Chrome or Edge there is an install icon in the address bar; in Mac Safari it is File then Add to Dock. It then opens offline with its own icon. Full instructions are in Help.

What if I lose my tab?

Your track, timeline and artwork are saved on your device automatically. Come back and pick up where you left off.
